We served as the Owner’s schedule consultant during design and construction. We reviewed, critiqued, and made recommendations to improve the Construction Manager's schedule to ensure achieving the project’s and milestone dates.
IRS Consolidated Computing Facility
Martinsburg, West Virginia
We provided consulting services to the GSA concerning claims in excess of $17 million that were brought by the contractor after construction of this $100 million facility was completed a year later than the contract required. We presented analyses and findings in a mediation before a GSA Board of Contract Appeals Judge that resulted in a settlement and avoided protracted litigation.
Adele H. Stamp Student Union Additions & Renovation
University of Maryland – College Park, Maryland
We served as a consultant to the University of Maryland on the planning, sequencing, phasing, and management of the design and construction of the additions to and renovations of the student union complex. We reviewed, analyzed, and incorporated the separate designers’ and contractors’ schedules into the overall program schedule. We analyzed changed and added work and quantified the additional performance time that the contractors were entitled to. We participated in and supported negotiations with the contractors to resolve claims and avoided litigation.
Severance Hall Renovation & Additions
Cleveland, Ohio
We provided project planning and scheduling services to both the owner and the general contractor that guided the renovation and additions to this complex, state of the art concert hall to efficient and timely completion.
IRS Service Center
Memphis, Tennessee
We provided assistance to the owner, the GSA, and to the user, the IRS, concerning the construction and the contract close-out of this massive and complex computing center. We reviewed and critiqued the general contractor’s schedule and measured and quantified time extensions due to weather, changes, and additional work. We participated in and supported negotiations with the general contractor and his subcontractors that equitably resolved claims for time and cost.
